What should I expect after my claim is filed?
- Within 24 to 48 hours of filing your claim, you should be contacted by the company's adjuster.
Tips on a Homeowner's Claim
- Make reasonable and necessary repairs to protect your home and property from further damage. Save receipts for what you spend and submit them to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
- Make a detailed list and description of damage.
- Burglary and theft claims must have a police report filed.
Tips on an Auto Claim
- Get name, address, and phone numbers of all parties involved. If possible, obtain insurance information for the other party.
- If the police are involved, note the name and officer number.
